The edge is everywhere -data and compute are no longer limited to the data center. With business models becoming more distributed, today’s organizations require an adaptive and flexible infrastructure.
To meet their objectives, businesses have always sought an understanding of what the market needs and how to reach target customers. It is equally important that they enable digital transformation by leveraging modern infrastructure to extend compute to where it can create the most value. With Dell PowerEdge servers, companies of all sizes can scale effectively, process data quickly and securely, and deliver more connected customer experiences inside or outside of a datacenter –all while optimizing costs and productivity.
Dell PowerEdge servers power your innovation engine, with adaptive compute that are flexible enough to address evolving IT needs and deliver real-time business value at the point of data creation — wherever that’s taking place. Dell Technologies enables customers to navigate the changing digital landscape with the broadest server portfolio, including servers purpose-built for edge and telecom environments.
Today, we’re introducing new PowerEdge entry-level rack and tower servers, built with Intel® Xeon® processors, designed for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as enterprises, to process information securely with less latency. Expanding capabilities beyond the walls of a traditional datacenter allows organizations to capture information where it’s immediately relevant and gain insights to improve customer and employee experiences.
From affordable building block servers to powerhouse mainstream servers like the new T550, PowerEdge can support business-critical and advanced workloads. Designed with office-friendly acoustics and thermals, these servers are ideal for use inside the datacenter as well as some edge environments including remote/branch offices, retail, hospitality, and logistics operations.
PowerEdge entry level rack and towers
Built with the new Intel® Xeon® E-2300 processors, the PowerEdge entry-level rack and tower servers provide additional compute capabilities, memory, and storage to increase productivity. These are flexible, affordable, and reliable building blocks for business-critical workloads, cloud infrastructure, and point of sale transactions. To ensure continuous operations of applications and services, the PowerEdge T350 and R350 also have high availability features such as hot-plug boot drive options. Additionally, customers can take advantage of expanded storage options to meet their growing data management challenges.
The new one-socket PowerEdge servers have a small footprint and the T350 has an updated design that is 37% smaller than its previous generation, making it even more useful when space is a constraint.
With these updates to the server portfolio, organizations of all sizes can innovate, adapt, and grow.
Dell PowerEdge T550
Available later this year, the PowerEdge T550, powered by 3rd Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors, is a flexible two-socket tower server that balances expandability and performance. The PowerEdge T550 supports advanced technologies for enterprise-class workloads: AI and inferencing, virtualization, medical imaging, data analytics, and software-defined storage.
