New solutions unveiled at Dell Storage Forum in Paris—including the Dell PowerVault MD3 array software, Storage Center 6.3 for Compellent, and the Dell PowerVault DL4000—are designed to deliver efficiency and performance for our customers.

At Dell, we don’t believe in technology for technology’s sake, we believe in technology that powers business potential, with solutions built to deliver real, repeatable results for customers of all sizes. Because what happens in our customers’ data centers happens in their businesses.

I hear it from our customers all the time. When our solutions deliver storage efficiency and performance in their data center, it drives real cost savings and the right outcomes for their organization. The impact is immediate and the results are real. Our goal is to engineer storage solutions so efficient and automated that they help customers deliver core business capability. That is the Dell Storage personality our customers should expect, and they should see it coming through in everything we do, helping to move their businesses forward.

From cloud to BYOD to converged and beyond, customers need to start with best-in-class storage to solve these issues for their business. We have an end-to-end storage architecture that we call Fluid Data—built from the ground up to optimize data everywhere—that addresses these disruptive forces for our customers. And today at Dell Storage Forum Paris, we unveiled a series of new advancements in our Fluid Data architecture, from primary to performance to protection, all designed to drive the right outcomes for our storage customers, including the ability to:

  • Maximize performance, minimize price: Expanded capabilities on our cost-optimized PowerVault platform with the new Dell PowerVault MD3 array software offer enhanced data protection, capacity utilization, and virtualization capabilities in an affordable, high-performance solution.
  • Deliver powerful performance, faster results: The first major software release on Compellent since the acquisition, the new Storage Center 6.3 can increase performance up to 100 percent over previous versions when running enterprise workloads and can double bandwidth as the first storage array featuring end-to-end 16Gb Fibre Channel from server to switch to storage.
  • Protect continuously, move anywhere, recover everything: New offerings in our comprehensive data protection portfolio include the Dell PowerVault DL4000, providing feature-rich AppAssure software optimized in a 1U backup appliance.

We have engineering teams working in design centers around the world to thoughtfully develop ongoing innovations in our Fluid Data architecture and deliver a new customer experience for storage. We’ll continue to redefine the customer experience, enabling a simpler, faster, more cost-effective way to deliver flexible IT services in support of business goals, and to ensure that Fluid Data is the storage foundation ready to move our customers forward at all times.
