Dell Enterprise User Forum: How Dell’s Caching Solutions Help Businesses Scale Up Storage Performance

Fast data access is critical for successful application performance – but many businesses and customers face frustrating delays that hold up progress and business growth.

According to Kishore Gagrani, Global Product Director of Dell Caching Software, customers only have the patience to wait two seconds during an online transaction before getting frustrated. To help address this problem, Kishore worked with the Dell Server, Storage and Networking teams to bring to market Dell Fluid Cache for SAN– a flexible enterprise application acceleration solution reducing online transactional latency, allowing increased concurrent users, and improving computational performance.

Fluid Cache for SAN meets this need for speed: it reduces those dreaded two seconds of wait time to mere milliseconds and can benefit any data-intensive operation where application users encounter barriers from a bottleneck of data.

At Dell’s Enterprise User Forum, Kishore will lead a session on how to use Dell’s caching solutions to combat storage latency, efficiently scale up performance and advance businesses. He will focus on how these solutions can increase Oracle and SQL database performance, as well as revitalize existing server and storage infrastructure. He will also address the benefit of adding Dell Caching solutions, which can provide potential database license savings costs. Additionally, he’ll explain how to smartly scale up IT environments to accelerate workloads such as OLTP, VDI and Databases.

This session, targeted towards CTOs, CIOs and IT Managers, is one of over 30 breakout sessions and hands-on labs led by Dell experts and product engineers at the forum. During this year’s sessions and labs, expect to participate in the latest knowledge sharing around security, cloud, big data, mobility and the Internet of Things – and return home with new skills and relationships.
