Vice President and General Manager, Mainstream Consumer & SMB at Dell
Tim Liu has over 20 years of IT experience and leads Dell worldwide Mainstream Consumer and SMB based in Taipei. He oversees Inspiron and Vostro brands for both notebooks and all in ones/desktops from roadmaps, P&L, product launch, management, and sustaining functions. Under his leadership, Dell’s mainstream consumer and SMB business has great reputation by multiple awards from CES, iF, Computex and IT publications.
Prior to his current role, Tim was the Vice President of Engineering for Inspiron, Vostro and Dell G series gaming notebooks, he also owned Inspiron, Vostro and XPS all in ones/desktops development in earlier time. Tim has a broad working experiences in IT industry from advanced technology research, LCD display, image processing, Java gaming engine, functional material development to factory engineering, Tim also has deeper knowledge on patent and he also owns over 20 patents in the worldwide.
Tim Liu received his Engineering Ph.D. from National Taiwan University in 1998, he also holds an executive MBA from National Cheng-Chi University in 2004. He joined Taiwan Armed Forces as second lieutenant for 2 years compulsory military services in 1994, he received multiple trophy by his performance in military.
