In June 2013 at the fourth annual Dell Women’s Entrepreneur Network (DWEN) global event in Istanbul, Dell unveiled our Pay It Forward initiative to mobilize successful women business owners and leaders to help more than one million aspiring women entrepreneurs by the end of 2015. Today, I’m proud to announce that we have joined forces with the Tory Burch Foundation to reach our goal.
The Tory Burch Foundation, founded by fashion designer and entrepreneur Tory Burch, is a nonprofit that supports the economic empowerment of women entrepreneurs and their families in the U.S. through small business loans, mentoring programs and entrepreneurial education. Through DWEN, Dell supports and nurtures a community of female entrepreneurs by providing access to knowledge, networks, and capital. DWEN and the Tory Burch Foundation have similar missions and the alignment will help both organizations amplify our missions and empower even more entrepreneurs.
As part of the partnership, the Tory Burch Foundation will be a featured as one of the suggested organizations through which women entrepreneurs can pay it forward – offering mentoring and business advice to Tory Burch Foundation mentees and/or financial support to the Foundation. Dell will also become the official technology partner of the Tory Burch Foundation, providing laptops to select women entrepreneurs who are part of the Tory Burch Foundation program.
We’re excited to have the Tory Burch Foundation on board – and invite you to learn more about the Foundation and join us in Paying it Forward at Dell.com/payitforward.
