Recently, CRN named Dell its Annual Report Card Overall Winner and Company of the Year in Midrange High-End Servers. This is the first time in Dell’s history that we have won this prestigious award.
U.S. channel industry’s largest annual awards, and recognizes outstanding partner programs and vendor service in 18 major product categories. Approximately 4,000 American channel partners were surveyed in 18 product/service categories and asked to evaluate the importance and satisfaction with their vendors’ products, support and channel programs. CRN’s research team then applied their research formula and came up with the winners in a number of technology categories. I accepted the award on Dell’s behalf at CRN’s annual channel event, XChange, in Dallas on Tuesday.
The fact that Dell has won in a major product category in less than three years in the channel speaks volumes about the progress we have made in such a short period. By thoughtfully structuring the Global Commercial Channel program, putting the right people in the right roles, and never losing sight of our primary focus—our channel partners—we have been to achieve massive progress in a short period of time.
I would also like to applaud Mary Catherine Wilson, senior manager of Channel Marketing at Dell, who was named to CRN’s Top Women of the Channel for 2010 (requires login), a list of the most influential women in the U.S. channel. Mary Catherine has been instrumental in helping us reach our channel accomplishments over the last couple of years, and we are delighted that she has been recognized by CRN. Well done!
To our partners and the Dell channel team, a big thank you for helping us reach this important milestone. You have helped us achieve extraordinary results and build a solid relationship with the channel, and this win underscores those achievements.
