Being from Chicago originally and having lived there during the glory days of the Chicago Bulls with Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Steve Kerr, Dennis Rodman and many other greats, what Dell announced today feels like what the Bulls accomplished in the 90s – six championships in eight years.
But in our case, we swept the rankings, taking top customer satisfaction numbers from research provided by industry research firm Technology Business Research (TBR).
Dell customers told TBR that they were most pleased with Dell products and services for the categories of IT Service and Support, x86-based servers, corporate notebook computers and corporate desktop computers.
TBR Customer Satisfaction Studies analyze survey results from medium and large corporate end users about their notebook, desktop, and x86-based server installed brands. After achieving substantially improved satisfaction scores in the third and fourth calendar quarters of 2009, Dell continued to improve service levels and product offerings, earning the distinction of the most improved performer of the year in TBR’s study.
We are very pleased with what our customers have told TBR and issued a news release on it today (link to news release and/or coverage). But we also know that these rankings fluctuate and that each and every day we need to meet and exceed the expectations of our customers. So, while we have enjoyed the fruits of our labors for a moment, it’s time to get back to work, earning the respect and business of our customers. To customers we say, thank you for your business and for your support.
