Increase Productivity with Mobile Access to More Resources, More Securely

Easy access to business data and resources is critical for employee productivity. And enabling that productivity securely, for today’s mobile workforce, is a big opportunity for resellers to grow their mobile security business and delight SMB customers. To help our Dell Partners achieve this, we offer Dell SonicWALL Secure Remote Access (SRA) series appliances that provide mobile and remote workers using smart phones, tablets or laptops — whether managed or unmanaged — with policy-enforced SSL VPN access to mission-critical applications, data and resources without compromising security.

With the newest release, Dell SonicWALL Secure Remote Access (SRA) 8.0, mobile workers can get access to even more resources, more securely and Dell Partners can provide greater value to their SRA customers and grow their mobile security business.

Enable access to a broad suite of applications and resources

The applications and resources your customers depend on to successfully run their operations are likely unique to their business, and may include web apps, file shares, hosted virtual apps, client server apps and more. To meet the mobile access needs of these customers, they need an access gateway that can enable secure access to the broad suite of resources and applications necessary for workers to be most productive.

Provide secure access from smartphones tablets, laptops and PCs

Also, the device types and devices workers want to use to access company resources and applications is growing exponentially. To meet the secure access needs of today’s workforce, access gateway’s need to support not only access from PCs and laptops, but also from popular smartphone and tablet devices and operating systems.

Access to more resources, more securely with HTML 5 browser support

To help meet these needs, the Dell SRA release 8.0 adds support for access to more resources using standard HTML 5 browsers, available for most smartphones, tablets and laptops. In addition to existing SRA support for HTML 5 browser access to RDP and VNC applications, the new release adds HTML 5 browser access to File Shares, FTP, Telnet and SSH services. Users with HTML5 browsers can now securely access these resources without requiring the Java or ActiveX browser plugins that legacy web browsers require, reducing threat risk and complexity. Also, users with devices that traditionally don’t support Java or ActiveX web browser plugins, such as iOS devices, can now use standard HTML5 browsers to gain access to allowed resources. In addition, to simplify the user experience, the new SRA 8.0 release now supports single sign on for access to RDP and VNC servers and file shares.

The Denver Broncos enable mobile worker productivity without compromising security

SRA customers, including the Denver Broncos, tell the story best. Running a leading NFL team requires a lot of behind-the-scenes work, and the Broncos use innovative IT to help the organization stay productive and keep fans happy. Coaches, cheerleaders, marketers and other staff — totaling 300 people — use the Bronco’s private and virtual private networks (VPN) to share classified data including videos, playbooks and scouting information. The entire organization uses Dell SonicWALL Secure Remote Access (SRA) appliances to deliver safe and easy access to email, files, applications, and more. Watch this short video to hear how the Broncos increase productivity, securely, with SRA.
