We are two months away from our second Dell Storage Forum (DSF) EMEA event which will be held in Paris, France 14-16 November 2012. DSF Paris will be a multi-day, in depth storage university for Dell’s storage customers and resellers. Attendees will experience technical deep dive breakout sessions with live demos, hands-on labs, classroom training, product and solution futures presentations, executive vision, strategy, and Fluid Data architecture keynotes, and an opportunity to network with peers and Dell storage experts.
We’ve been working since late July planning the Partner Day and Core Conference breakout sessions – taking the best sessions from DSF Boston in the US earlier this year, identifying new topics, balancing best practices sessions with futures, and lining up subject matter expert speakers to ensure that the event is time well spent for all attendees. The full Channel partner agenda and Customer agenda are now available on-line to view which include session titles, descriptions, rooms, and session day / time. Here’s some of the exciting information that you’ll see inside…
8 technical tracks across the Dell product and solution portfolio:
-
- CompellentTM Technology, EqualLogicTM Technology, PowerVaultTM Technology, DX Object Storage Technology, Dell Core Technology, Virtualisation and Application Solutions, Networking Solutions, and Data Protection and Retention Solutions
- 48 technical sessions that will help attendees get the most out of their Dell storage environment and solutions
- 8 futures roadmap sessions revealing what’s ahead for technology integration, new products, and comprehensive solutions
- 2 Dell customer presentations sharing their best practices
- 6 technology partner topics covering their solutions with Dell storage
Presenters are immersed in preparing their sessions to ensure that the content is rich in technical detail and is practical. Dell Storage solutions not only are embedded with innovative designs but provide a rich set of features and functionality that enable administrators to get more out of their storage environment than they sometimes ever imagined. Topics covered will range from storage management (beginner to advanced), optimizing storage environments with virtualization hypervisors, designing efficient storage deployments for virtual desktops, reference architectures and best practices for applications like Microsoft Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, and Oracle, configuring SANs for proper performance and resiliency, building affordable disaster recovery solutions, how to get the most out of data tiering, protecting and recovery data efficiently and reliably, and architecting a storage environment to meet long-term data retention and compliance requirements without breaking IT budgets.
Beyond the day-to-day, practical information that we will share, the futures sessions will give sneak peeks into some of the really cool things going on in the Dell Storage Labs. For example, our leading technologists will reveal recent developments in the upcoming Dell Fluid Cache solution revealed during DSF Boston, as well as insights into the plans for the Dell Fluid File System and the integration of deduplication and compression technology across the Dell storage portfolio. In addition, we’ll have breakout sessions around Dell’s recent acquisitions of AppAssure and Quest Software.
I’m very excited to be leading the planning and readiness of these sessions so that if you do get to attend I am hoping you will leave DSF Paris enriched with knowledge that will help you leverage your Dell Storage solutions more effectively for your organizations. We are investing to be long-term partners with you – delivering innovation, advanced capabilities, seamless integration with applications, and investment protection that lasts not just a few years but a decade or more.
I hope to see you at Dell Storage Forum Paris in November, or DSF San Jose in June 2013.
