Dell Channel executives are starting 2018 off on a high note! This week, CRN announced their picks for the 2018 Channel Chief Awards and seven Dell channel executives have received accolades for their industry expertise and leadership. The executives’ inclusion on this list marks one of the highest honors in the industry.
The recipients of these awards represent the forward-thinking movers and shakers of the Channel, who excel at driving growth and revenue for their organizations, as well as promoting and executing effective channel partner programs and strategies.
Additionally, this marks the fifth consecutive year that Dell channel executives have been recognized for this award. Congratulations to Joyce Mullen and Cheryl Cook, who are both also featured on the ‘Most Influential’ list, Cheryl Cook, Gregg Ambulos, Michael Collins, Jim DeFoe, Tracy Pavillard and Jay Snyder. Cheryl Cook, Jim DeFoe and Gregg Ambulos make repeat appearances on this list, having been honored in past years.
Joyce Mullen, president of global channels, OEM and IoT solutions is recognized to the distinguished list for the first time and is featured on CRN’s Most Influential Channel Chiefs list.
Joyce who leads Dell’s worldwide team, restructured the OEM Partner Program and created an OEM track within the new Dell Partner Program, offering partners new tools and resources and better incentives.
Cheryl Cook, a repeat honoree, who is also recognized among CRN’s ‘Most Influential,’ is senior vice president of Global Channel Marketing for Dell, and is responsible for developing the global channel marketing strategy. She also manages the global channel marketing programs that enable partners to grow their business with Dell. Over the past year, Cheryl and her team fielded feedback on Dell’s MDF program and collaborated with partners on ways to enhance their program experience, ultimately rolling out program refinements to provide partners with an even better return on investment. She was also recognized as a 2017 Channel Chief.
Recognized on the CRN Channel Chief list since 2008, Gregg Ambulos is senior vice president of North America Channel Sales for Dell. He is responsible for creating and delivering sales growth across the entire Dell portfolio of products, including PCs, Workstations, Servers, Storage, Networking and Services through Dell’s North America ecosystem of more than 50,000 solution provider and distribution partners. Gregg was instrumental in helping to affect a successful integration of the Dell and EMC partner programs to ensure a smooth transition.
Tracy Pavillard, vice president of federal channels and systems integrator programs is a 30-year industry veteran. Tracy has been serving the federal partner community as Dell’s federal channel leader since he launched Dell’s initial federal channel Program in 2005. Over the past year, Tracy led integration of Dell and EMC’s federal channel programs while launching the Dell GovEvolve Partner Trade Association to help small players in the federal community impact legislation that impacts their businesses.
Jay Snyder, senior vice president, Global Alliances, Service Providers and Industries has led EMC’s (now Dell) Global Alliances Organization since 2015. Snyder focuses on bringing uniquely differentiated industry solutions to market through strategic relationships with systems integrators, strategic outsourcers and cloud service providers. Jay developed the program’s first structured rebate and proposal-based business development funds programs for service providers and strategic outsourcers. These funds are used by partners to generate demand, invest in solution development, field enablement and obtain resources. Jay took the funds program from concept to rollout, introducing the program to partners through a series of global town halls and Partner Advisory Board meetings.
In addition to Dell, CRN recognized prominent channel leaders from other Dell Technologies companies including Faraz Siraj, Head of Americas Channels Sales for RSA and several stand outs from VMware including, Colleen Kapese, Vice President, Partner Go To Market Programs and Incentives, Frank Rauch, Vice President, Americas Partner Organization and Brandon Sweeney, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Commercial and Partner Sales.
