Dell Amplichoir wins the first award of the night at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2009

From the glitz and glamour of the press conference through to the awards – the MTV Europe Music Awards has been unbelievable this year, and Dell is proud to have been part of one of the biggest nights in music. To coincide with the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall, the Awards were held in Berlin, making it the first year in the history of the Awards that the show has been hosted in the same city more than once. As such, MTV had to pull out all the stops to deliver the music extravaganza fans have come to expect. And they didn't disappoint, offering up U2 who did an amazing performance from the Brandenburg Gate; a 20 minute set played out to a lucky 10,000 people.

The Awards got off to a great start with the first award of the night given to the winners of the Dell Amplichoir contest. Gabriella Ellis from the UK and Kamil Chrzanoswski from Germany received their award from Joss Stone on the red carpet. A celebration of our sponsorship of the MTV Europe Music Awards, the competition drew more than to 1.000 singers from 163 countries around the world. The largest number of people singing "Lollipop" in one recording was the 4,500 young people gathered together in Argentina.

Even though the MTV EMAs are over for another year, you can still add your voice and be part of the world's biggest online choir here – www.amplichoir.com.
