Benita is an Artificial Intelligence and IoT Strategist on Dell Technologies’ DCWS (Data Centric Workloads & Solutions) team – focused on delivering solutions by aligning AI and IoT technology to business operations and strategic vision.
She started her professional journey with a short stint in Public Relations and Branding, before attending graduate school, after which she ventured into IT. In her capacity at Dell Technologies, she works with businesses to develop their strategy and implementation of AI and IoT technology. She spent the earlier years of her career architecting storage, HCI and data protection solutions for commercial customers in E-Commerce, High-Frequency Trading, Financial, Legal, Insurance and Manufacturing industries.
Benita has been service-oriented most of her life and believes in giving back as much as possible. She volunteers in different capacities, with organizations like the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). In her spare time, you’ll find her working with the Fire Ants: cloud-native application development and data analytics team focused on exploration of container platforms, object storage, NoSQL databases, practical data analytics and mobile app development. Her hobbies include reading, training for Spartan races and finding opportunities to expand her comfort zone.
