Some of you may had read Engadget’s reaction to our latest All-in-One the Inspiron One 23. They wrote about it when we first started offering them in retail outlets like Best Buy, Staples and Wal-Mart. Lots of customers who see them in retail stores end up buying them so today, we’re glad to be offering the sleek all-in-one desktop to customers worldwide through Dell.com.
The Inspiron One 23 is our first all-in-one desktop that offers a true HD (1920 x 1200) experience—a feature that stands out from many other all-in-one systems that are out there. It features a smooth, space-saving design that only requires a single power cord. It’s a desktop that’s made to fit in tight spaces, so it can fit easily into a corner area on a kitchen counter, in a small dorm room, or in a more traditional desk in a study. The design also features a space underneath the display allows you to tuck the keyboard away when it is not in use.
Our new all-in-one supports up to quad-core processors, up to 8GB RAM and the AMD’s ATI Radeon HD 5450 discrete graphics card. It also features built-in 802.11n Wi-Fi for broadband connectivity, an integrated webcam and microphone, plus an optional integrated TV tuner for those who want to watch or record Live TV. Because it’s built on top of Microsoft’s successful Windows 7 platform, you can easily share content to or from other Windows 7 PCs on your home network through the Play To functionality that Faith Chennault has blogged about in the past.
The four configurations we offer are available today, and the price starts at $599 for a system with a non-touch display and dual core processor. The high-end configuration is $949 with a touch display, quad-core processor, 1TB hard drive and wireless keyboard and mouse. Later in November, we’ll offer a configuration that includes a Blu-ray drive, an internal TV tuner and a remote control. The optional HDMI port means the Inspiron all-in-one can also serve as an external display from a Blu-ray player unit, a satellite box, or game systems like an Xbox 360 or a Playstation 3. All configurations feature THX audio via a speaker at the base of the display, so music, video and other audio will come through loud and clear.
With the optional touch display and standard integrated Skype software and and the Cozi Family Organizer the Inspiron One is not only great for entertainment, but also keeping your family connected and organized. The Cozi calendar makes it easy to manage multiple schedules so you can track your family’s after-school activities or all of your weekly sports tournaments. You can use it to pull together a weekly shopping list that you can easily send to your smartphone. Skype enables families to stay in touch whether it’s a weekly video chat between the grandparents and the kids or college students checking in every with their parents every once in a while.
The touch-enabled models of the Inspiron One feature the Dell Stage software. Some folks here refer to Stage as a keep-in-touch interface, and from my time with it, I’d agree. Stage provides a streamlined interface that allows you to easily access all your multimedia files like music, photos and video. Stage allows you to navigate via tiles: MusicStage PhotoStage and VideoStage makes it easy to access all your personal media files.

StickyNotes – Make your all-in-one the epicenter of your family’s day. Write a note, post it to the memo board – even dress up your note with an emoticon stamp.
YouPaint – Kids of all ages can create works of art using existing templates or free form drawing tools.
