- Dell is announcing differentiated solutions to its converged infrastructure portfolio designed to help customers of all sizes and is bringing enterprise-class converged technology to a whole new set of customers: branch office companies and the small and medium business market.
- More than 1,200 customers, partners, analysts and press will attend the Dell Enterprise Forum, starting today.
Converged solutions are designed to address customers’ needs for simplicity and agility and today at the Dell Enterprise Forum (DEF) in San Jose, we are demonstrating our differentiated approach to converged solution development for customers of all sizes – from the small office of five people to the world’s largest hyperscale datacenters.
DEF has brought together more than 1,200 customers, partners, analysts and reporters to hear about our efforts to be the leading provider of end-to-end scalable solutions. We have great momentum in our Enterprise Solutions Group business, which grew 10 percent year-over-year in Q1 this year, with growing leadership positions in our server and networking businesses. In fact, Dell now holds #1 or #2 positions in servers, storage and networking, according to industry reports.
We’ll announce today our latest innovation, the new PowerEdge VRTX, which is the first converged IT solution designed specifically for remote and small office environments, with enterprise-class capabilities in a desk-side, space-saving design. Feedback from customers and channel partners participating in our pilot program for VRTX, which integrates server, storage, networking and management in an efficient way, has been highly positive. We’ll also have additional announcements at DEF about our Active Infrastructure portfolio, the next generation of Dell Modular Data Center infrastructure and our storage portfolio.
We believe our news, keynotes and sessions planned for DEF will demonstrate how Dell has truly become an end-to-end solution provider for any sized customer. We’re illustrating that we offer not only servers, storage, networking, and integrated systems, but also software, services and client solutions that come together to deliver the best value for customers and partners.
