At Dell we’re extremely proud of Wyse vWorkspace as an important component of our cloud client-computing portfolio. It’s a comprehensive desktop virtualization software solution that combines components from our acquisitions of Wyse and Quest with Dell’s own native IP and innovation. vWorkspace sets us apart from the competition since it makes us the only solutions provider that offers an end-to-end solution that includes VDI connection broker software, with simplicity, flexibility, scalability, high-performance, and one point of contact for support.
Our customer San Felipe Del Rio School Consolidated Independent School District is seeing tremendous benefits by replacing aging PCs for 10,500 students and 1,400 employees with virtual desktops and using vWorkspace as their VDI connection broker software. In addition to optimizing learning environments for students and teachers, the school district saved $1.25 million in annual expenses and cut 2,250 hours a year in ongoing IT support requirements.
When we announced the latest version, Wyse vWorkspace 8.5, at our Cloud Client-Computing Reviewers’ Day in December, we caught the attention of virtualization and IT guru, Brian Madden. We were pleased to read in Brian’s vWorkspace article that he is a long-time vWorkspace fan and he felt as enthusiastically as we did about the release.
“Overall I'm excited about vWorkspace's prospects and what they have in the future. Combining all that and everything from Wyse into a single group makes sense, and I'm glad they did it,” Madden wrote.
We jumped at the chance to dive deeper with Brian, and asked him to create this video sharing his thoughts on vWorkspace 8.5. In the video Brian does a great job of explaining how vWorkspace caters to organizations of all sizes with ease-of-use and simplicity that are ideal for SMBs, combined with the strength of performance that large enterprises require. He also says any time he meets vWorkspace users, “they’re big fans – they love it!” That’s wonderful to hear from an industry expert such as Brian.
Check out what Brian has to say about the solution and let us know your thoughts in the comments section below, or send them via Twitter to @Wyse. We keep our customers’ needs front and center when developing our solutions, and your feedback is our inspiration.
