Diversity of leadership increases our ability to be innovative and ensures company decisions reflect a wide array of perspectives. A study by McKinsey shows that companies in the top quartile for gender diversity are 25% more likely to have industry-leading profitability compared to companies in the bottom quartile. For ethnic diversity, that number increases to 36%, and for disability, it’s 28%. These are compelling numbers.
Diverse leadership also helps us retain top-performing team members. When people see themselves represented in management, they know they too have a way to the top. To provide diverse talent with a clear path to leadership at Dell Technologies, we have created targeted leadership development programs that help them overcome obstacles and seize new opportunities.
