Timefinder/Snap creates space-savinfg.logical PIT images called snapshots.The snapshots are not full copies but contain pointers to the source data.The target device used by Timefider/Snap is called a virtual device (VDEV). It leeps pointers to the source device or SAVE devices. The save devices keep the PIT data that has changed on the source after the start of the replication session . Timefinder/snap allows creating multiple snapshots up to 128 from a single source device.

其他的自己看 second edition P285~p287
可以分配不同RAID组来实现 比如 生产用RAID 1/0 ，BCV 用 RAID 5

半夜敲帖子手都发酸啦，上次去一个公司面试，二面的时候一听是用了硬件复制技术备份数据库，唉，被人鄙夷了，面试也黄了。

面试的那个公司他们用的rman，机器也全部是IBM。
一听我说我们用了Timefinder怎么怎么的就问你们怎么不做增量备份呢？ 我说Timefinder一开始全同步后来就可以一直增量了啊，备份的时候在media server把文件系统拉起来就直接备份可以了，恢复的时候贼快只要避开其他系统的同步时间可以说瞬间就把Oracle恢复啦。对方听了估计觉得很神奇。唉，估计是被IBM毒害了。
哈 我觉得论坛挺好，哄完小孩洗完衣服就上了看看，早上因为工作必须5点多起床，在刷牙或烧水的时候想到什么就上来看看。

恩，说的有道理。其实吧，就技术本身来说，不同公司的产品有不同的做法，只要能帮客户实现目标，并且客户能买单，就算成功了。不过很多时候，人们都会有先入为主的想法，这也一定程度上阻碍了对新的和不同的东西的接受意愿。
在家是超级奶爸，在外是模范员工呀
我和你有点挺像，也会早上边刷牙边煮蛋时边在ipad上看看论坛。。。。
