这个进程是监控PowerPath特定事件并且发送SNMP的。

它监控的事件有：

• Path Dead event
• Path Alive event
• All Paths Dead event
• Not All Paths Dead event
• Volume Dead event
• Max. Path Latency Exceeded event

根据KB：details about the AIX PowerPath management daemon emcp_mond service and how to disable or remove it (if not needed)

如果不想监控以上事件可以把这个进程disable掉，以下两种方法之一：

1. Comment out emcp_mond :

1. Kill emcp_mond (via kill -9 and wait 30 secs for emcp_mond to die).
2. Comment out rcemcp_mond:2:wait:/etc/rc.emcp_mond start > /dev/console 2>&1 in /etc/inittab.

2. Remove emcp_mond with rmtiab :

1. Kill emcp_mond (via kill -9 and wait 30 secs for emcp_mond to die).
2. Use rmitab rcemcp_mond to remove the entry for good.

restart这个进程的步骤:

a. # stopsrc -s snmpd        <-- Request "System Resource Controller" to stop a subsystem

b. # startsrc -s snmpd       <-- Request "System Resource Controller" to start a subsystem

c. # /usr/sbin/emcp_mond
