mraid2k errors leave Poweredge 2600 single server running Win2k Server hanging.

We have a real problem brewing with our PowerEdge 2600 server running win2k. Daily now our staff arrive in the morning to find our server hanging. It has been happening intermittently for months if not over a year but now it's occurring nightly. It always hangs between midnight and 2.30am. Some nights it reboots repeatedly within that time period perhaps upto 10 times, but only does that once every few weeks but hangs nightly.

 

I don't know whether this is connected to our other major problem and that is the backup, using an ultrium 100gb tape drive and Veritas Backup Exec 9.1 Pro. We get say one good backup reported by the status report email in five. Errors relating to Backup Exec show up nightly in the event log. If we switch backup verification off the email failure notices stop and we recieve success notifications instead.

 

Has anyone else experienced these problems or could point us in the right direction.
