AX100 and UPS Configuration
I am looking for a document, FAQ or link to explain where and how to configure the AX100 to communicate with the UPS and do a graceful shutdown in the event of a power failure.
Thanks in advance!

For the AX100 and AX150, you must use the UPS supplied with the array. There is a unique cable that ships with the array for communication between the array and UPS. Other than having it properly cabled, there is no options to configure the UPS, other than the test date and time.
documentation can be found at http://www.emc.com/dell-ax100support and http://www.emc.com/dell-ax150support. Without the UPS or cable, write cache will not be enabled and performance will suffer. Also, when configured with a Dell | EMC AX-Series array, the UPS funtion is to only keep they array up long enough to flush cache to the hard drives, typically 2 minutes.

If powersupply B is without power and the UPS (via serial) indicates to SPA that it's without power as well, the unit will initiate a safe shutdown.
