Dell XPS 15 or 17

Hey guys!

I go to school and need to use Solidworks and use adobe editing software.

I also like to play some games. I won't be playing intensive games on that laptop because I do own a desktop. It needs to run like Genshin Impact, Minecraft, Apex, etc. on good settings.

Now I was wondering. I saw the Dell XPS 15 9510 with an I7-11800H, RTX 3050 TI (45W), 16Gb ram, 512GB SSD, and the OLED 3,5K screen option. This costs about 2500 euros.

And then I also saw the Dell XPS 17 9710 with an I7-11800H, RTX 3050 (60W), 16Gb ram, 512GB SSD, and the Full Hd+ screen option. This config also costs 2500 euros.

I have already watched a lot of videos with people complaining about the overheating problem in the 15 because it uses heat pipes instead of a vapor chamber and comparison videos. But I'm still not quite sure which model I should choose...

Is the better screen on the 15 worth the extra battery drainage? Are the heat pipes good enough to keep my pc cool? Will the battery last long enough? Is it even practical to bring a 17-inch laptop to school, tho it does look more like a 15-inch laptop I've heard?

The question is should I go for a better screen and smaller footprint or go for the bigger and more powerful laptop?
