Adding memory to Precision 5820 Tower gives me error 2000-0722
I am using a Precision 5820 Tower.
I have added more memory, and when booting with Dell Reliable Memory Technology (RMT), I always get a “SupportAssist |Pre-Boot System Performance Check” and a Critical Error Mesasge of “2000-0722”.
Can you please tell me how to solve this problem?
The main parts of the configuration at the time of purchase are as follows
OS: Windows 10 Pro Workstations
CPU:Xeon W-2102 (parts no.T2K79)
MEM:32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 2666MHz RDIMM ECC (parts no.VM51C)
Non-genuine memory for this 5820,
A-Tech 16GB RAM Samsung M393A2K43CB2-CTD | DDR4 2666MHz PC4-21300 2Rx8 1.2V ECC RDIMM 288pin
and inserted them into memory slots 3 and 4.
Now both BIOS and Windows recognize it as 64GB, but I always get a “2000-0722” error when booting.
If I press “continue”, it starts up and 64GB is recognized in Windows, so I can use it,
However, no matter how many times I reinsert the memory as per the remedy, it does not improve.
I spent almost 4 hours in BIOS to check all the memory, but the result was no problem.
Q1. Why does this warning appear?
Q2. Is this always the case with non-genuine memory?
Q3. If Dell Reliable Memory Technology (RMT) is turned off, the warning will probably not appear,
But is it possible to cause fatal problems such as unstable operation or file corruption?
