XPS 15 9520 Headphones not recognized

Following several drivers update, I realized that headphones were not recognized anymore when I plugged them in the jack input.

After several tests and reading forum on this issue, I've found a temporary solution.

Go to the Device Manager > System devices and look for the "Intel Smart Sound Technology" device

Once selected, I update it (actually downgrade it) to the initial driver "High definition audio".

Once restarted, the headphones are recognized again throught the MaxxAudioPro application (which it is a little useless for me).

Given the price of the laptop, I didn't expect this kind of issue (and "solution").

I think that Dell must ensure that all the software provided by vendors runs smothly and its fully compatible (which is not the case in my opinion). This is the minimum expected from any serious manufacturer.

I expect that they will ask Intel to provide with a driver update that solves this issue.

In the meantime, life goes on and I hope that this "solution" will allow you to use headphones on your computer.
