Every day I leverage my 17 plus years of Oracle database and 4 plus years of EMC experience to advise, speak, and solution enterprise systems for customers. I enjoy working with customers and EMC teams to design Oracle enterprise architectures that meet the performance, protection, and continuous availability requirements of today’s data challenges. Open storage architectures give customers supporting Oracle databases (7.x – 12c), enterprise applications (E-Business suite 10.6 – 12) and many other applications a comprehensive strategy for accelerating performance and protecting all mission critical applications. I have been working with VMware virtualization for 4 plus years and enjoy leading discussion on key design choices like using VMFS, RDM and dNFS. Virtualization adds agility and flexibility to databases and improves availability through High Availability (HA) clustering. The virtualization and Oracle challenges may seem complex but through customer meetings we can work on developing a roadmap your teams can support. In working with you we can: • Address any questions or challenges to virtualizing mission critical databases and applications • Develop a strategy of virtualizing Oracle databases that will receive broad support • Show value to the Oracle DBAs and business in virtualizing databases I manage a very experienced global group of DBAs with over 60 years of combined Oracle experience. This team is one of the most passionate socially active groups of Oracle DBAs that are focused in working with customers and other teams. This global team (US, India, Germany, China) leads the Oracle Community (www.emc.com/everythingoracle) which is one of the most active Oracle technology communities.
