E-dock with dual monitors, KVM, all apps moved to monitor 1 when switching to other PC

I recently received a new Latitude e6400 with the Intel 4500MHD and the E-dock where I have connected two monitors through an Iomega KVM switch (GCS634U) - a 4 port device. When I switch from my laptop to my desktop, which only uses Monitor 2, all applications on that monitor are moved to Monitor 1

The exact same thing happens to me. My KVM is the GCS632U. This is very frustrating. I may just have to craft some kind of VGA signal analyzer to figure out how to keep the monitor "active."
