Johnny Papas, Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum. Why did you post the same message 3 times? You only need to post a message once to have a solution to it.  This solution is in your duplicate post in the Latitude BIOS forum.

Looking to upgrade a 2 year old Inspiron 8200.   Right now it has a 30GB hard drive that is just about maxed out.  Actually, it is maxed out, as I have to pick stuff to delete to add more stuff to it.   I'd like to upgrade the hard drive and see two options.&n

DB

SIGTAUENUS, Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum. The highest hard drive that Dell supports on this system is 60 GB. You can make your purchase from Dell Spare Parts at 1-800-372-3355. Edit:  If you want further information, I sugges

Johnny Papas, Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum. You should try to boot to a diskette and then run the debug script to reset the hard drive. You should then be able to reinstall the operating system of choice.

I have a C/640. I for some reason decided to password protect my laptop and I have now forgot the password. It boots up normally, once it gets to the windows screen it asks for my password. I cant even use my programs because I can not remember the password for the Operating System. I read the FAQ o

Badgerboy888, Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum. If the issue is a BIOS password, then you should call into support where real-time troubleshooting can be done.

I have the same problem. As soon as I power my laptop on, I go to type on the keyboard and the laptop goes into standby mode. Then when I try to get it out of standby it comes out for a few seconds then goes back in.

DB

vsixpack, Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum. Look at the settings in the Power Options item in the Control Panel. Another area of interest is to check the BIOS to ensure that it does not turn off any hardware at a designated time.

Pretty simple, really: the right SIDE of my spacebar sticks a bit when pressed 3-4 times, and when I then proceed to hit the LEFT side of it, it makes a clicking sound, and unsticks for 3-4 more presses, when the cycle then repeats itself. Is there a way to remove just the spacebar to

DB

Hxcobd, Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum. Dell's solution would be to replace the hardware. You might want to look through the items in the Keyboard / Pointing Devices FAQ for a solution.

DB

jepcote, Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum. You might want to try removing or stopping all of the items in the taskbar of the computer. Have you reloaded the keyboard driver for your system?

Hopefully someone can help .. I feel like there is a simple solution to this.   When trying to play a DVD on my Inspiron 1100 .. I get the following error message ... "DVD video content is protected by Macrovision, but your computer is not properly configured to support Macrovision".  I ha

DB

Emed32, Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum. This usually means that the software does not support Macrovision. You should look for an update to your DVD software.  You might also want to see if there is a firmware update for your DV

If this is not the right forum for this question please let me know! I have an Inspiron 8000 and when I try to use ITunes it doesn't recognize cds (won't play them, won't let me copy them into my library).  The cd diagnostic that I ran said that some Dells require an update or dri

DB

slz203, Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum. What is the name of the driver stated by the third-party hardware? Perhaps I can help you find it.
