Replacing Default certificate on XtremIO XMS

Hi,

I am trying to replace the default SSl cert on a customer XMS. I have received the signed cert from the customer and followed the steps in the "Replacing the Default SSL Certificate" section of the user guide.

I am getting an error saying Error: Trailing \ in String". There is a trailing \ in the string, however if I remove it I get an error saying that the cert is not the correct format and shows an example which ends with a \.

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

D

Hello DJmc2,

Here is a link to a KB that will help with replacing SSL cert. https://dell.to/3lsmrN4

Hi Sam,

Thanks for your reply.

I have followed the KB and also the user guide, which are both the same.

My command is;

modify-server-certificate chain-certificate-string ="" server-certificate-string ="-----BEGIN\n\CERTIFICATE-----\n\ADBpMRMwEQYKCZImiZPyLGQBGRYDbmV0MRUwEwYKCZImiZPyLGQBGRYFaHNjbmkx\n\....

...cVGKSxxJ8zw5bX\n\HbT4p7sTp2T8dbkgiNd6+HWaYpj2gJ/g3Fktw3FkxDzSk4E6wGBb39SHhjZh7mhs\n\CEtXcyiUWbuubZnA2BPPvD2SUK2ZP/hJjFMlCRdvqiWz7MXzJw5n8Hj+WqklPZq\n\/g/zAYQjpqCozJuNuPr8unbHCXwybliCaSjVYbqr+Sz0\n\-----END\n\CERTIFICATE-----"

I am getting the following error;

PROPERTY                  |MANDATORY |DESCRIPTION                |VALUE
========================= |========= |========================== |======
server-certificate-string |Yes       |X509 Server Certificate    |string
chain-certificate-string  |No        |Chain of X509 Certificates |string
server-key-string         |No        |RSA private key            |string

Mandatory Parameters:
 NOTE! The following properties are mandatory: ['server-certificate-string']:

Usage:
 modify-server-certificate  server-certificate-string= [chain-certificate-string= ] [server-key-string= ]

** Error: Command Syntax Error: Provided string is not a valid X509 certificate.
Reminder: An X509 certificate should be formatted as
-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----\n\

-----END CERTIFICATE-----

Am I missing something obvious here??
