Need help to decode / do breakup of XtremIO volume WWN to find the volume number.
Need help to decode / do breakup of XtremIO volume WWN to find the volume number.
Let me start my query by giving an example of a PowerMax LUN WWN to explain better on what I need.
This is a PowerMax LUN WWN: 60000970000197900306533030303646.
There is PowerMax OUI in the initial few numbers.
197900306: is the serial number
533030303646 is the symdev number. It needs to be converted from Hexadecimal to ASCII, which gives the symdev number.
Similarly, for a XtremIO volume WWN (NAA identifier): 514f0c5d21000011, I have read that " 514f0c5" is common to all XtremIO volume WWNs. From the remaining number, how can the array serial number and particular volume number be found?

Hello Symm_Unlimited,
I am not finding any guides that can assist in finding this out.
