XPS Battery not charging. New battery, new charger, new port charger

I have a Dell xps 15 7590 core i7 (2019 model) and the battery is not charging.

Replaced with new dell battery, new charger unit and even the charging port but still no charge. Laptop turns on under battery power but just consumes power and won't let me even try a bios update due to power constraints of 50%+.

Suspect is motherboard??? pleas help someone?

We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.

Did you buy the battery from Dell? Lots of batteries sold by private and other sellers online are scams. You can check the age of the Dell battery by researching the code number on the label. It is probably not a new battery but a used one. See this from Dell-

All replacement parts bought from authorised Dell dealer in Australia. Part numbers identical and battery cam with 70%+ charge and starts laptop fine.Te charger unit did work charging laptop but the led power status lights just went off and stopped accepting charge. Checked all cables, connectors etc thoroughly.

Can I charge the battery bypassing the power barrel connector and use a usb-c charger or will this still charge running through the motherboard power circuits?

The Thunderbolt port does provide power delivery and can be used as a temporary workaround - you should be able to charge the battery in the short terms with that (the circuit is separate from the main power circuit connected to the barrel connector).

However, the system will not receive sufficient power to run at full speed through the Thunderbolt port -- though it may get  you by for awhile, you will need to replace the system board if you want the system to run at full speed once again.

Was this run on 220-240v? I ask because mine does the same thing and will not charge under 110-120v anymore. I bought it in the USA and used it overseas, but it won't charge in America anymore. Even with new charging unit.
