XPS 13 9343, replace 52W 7.4v battery with 56W 7.6v?
I have an XPS 13 9343 and need to replace the battery. I've been sent a replacement which is a 56w 7.6v batter but the battery it came with seems to be a 52w 7.4v battery. Can I use the replacement 56w battery without damaging the laptop?
Thanks
robert p

Hi -c-h-r-i-s-,
Thanks for posting. Apologies that your system battery is not performing as expected.
Here's a note of caution: Using a non-Dell battery is not advised. Replace the battery only with a compatible battery purchased from Dell that is designed to work with your Dell computer. Do not use a battery from other computers with your computer.

Hello,
Any feedback on this? I have the same question.
Is it possible to switch from 7.4v to 7.6v (or vice-versa)? What are the consequences?

Hi @robert p,
Thank you for your note of caution. The thing is, I cannot find the original XPS 13 9343 52Wh 4-cell laptop battery (JD25G) from certified dealers. Dell Support said there were not in stock and not produced anymore.
Can you recommend alternatives?

Welcome to the Dell Community @-c-h-r-i-s-
This would be the cheapest:

There are others to choose from:

What "SCAM"
Oh. The scam that you can only purchase OEM original batteries from the laptop manufacture.
I have purchased thousands of original batteries from eBay for 15-20 years and have not been "SCAMMED" once!!!!!

Dell no longer sells replacement batteries for XPS13 9343. Are there any recommended 3rd party sellers?
I purchased a replacement battery from a 3rd party seller but the laptop did not accept the battery. It would blink the front light amber/white and then would shut down automatically. Please suggest a third part battery seller which can supply an OEM battery for my XPS13 9343.

Hi everyone,
So... Is it possible - and viable - to replace a **52Wh, 7.4V** battery with a **56Wh, 7.6V** battery?

The slight difference in voltage won't affect your laptop in any way; even OEM batteries will show slight different values than stated, when tested out of the box.
And, as you know, voltage lowers a bit when a battery discharges, and increases when it's loaded, it's basically how a system knows a battery is charged or needs charging.
So no, you guys don't need to worry about it, 0.2V difference is a negligible value.
