Thunderbolt 3 port (USB-C) stopped working. (USB-C) stopped working after Windows 11 reinstall.

About a month ago I replaced my failed SSD drives in my laptop. I reinstalled Windows 11 and everything was working fine. Just a little over a week ago my Thunderbolt port stopped working. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the Thunderbolt drivers, updated the BIOS, and updated all OS and application software. Still nothing works. I have also tried turning off/on the BIOS settings for the Thunderbolt port and it still does not work. I have done the power drain solution, and the Thunderbolt port still does not work. Someone please help.

It would help to know what model system you have, but if nothing works -- the power adapter to charge the system, for one, particularly with the system powered off, chances are the port is bad.  Depending on the system model, it may be a matter of replacing the board on which the port resides, but more commonly that's the mainboard which you'll need to replace.

Most XPS systems have more than on Thunderbolt port -- does or do the other(s) work?

@ejn63 - I'm running an Alienware M17 R4 (3 years old). Everything was working fine after the installation of the new SSDs and complete OS & app installs. All of a sudden, the port just stopped working. I've been using the same devices + cables for years.

I ran an update on the system and it found a BIOS update. the Thunderbolt port is now back to working again.
