Protected Memory Access Blocked SSDUpdate.exe
I'm getting this message pretty regularly on my XPS 15 9500. I'm pretty confident that it's a legit Dell update after some looking around.
I give it access each time but the message keeps appearing. Is it preventing the update from running? Is there a way to let it through permanently?
Thanks.

I'm pretty sure (at least in my case) this is caused by the Dell Command Update application which updates Dell (driver) software components.
And please don't suggest to disable memory protection. - not everyone has local admin access to do this.
Even if you do have local admin, allowing the change (after the fact) probably isn't going to affect next time it runs, because it's running from a random folder inside the temp folder.
Running SSDUpdate.exe from a known/fixed location like c:\programdata\dellcommandupdate\SSDUpdate.exe instead of c:\windows\temp\ \ssdupdate.exe (or C:\users\ \appdata\local\temp\ \ssdupdate.exe ) should fix this (may still need to be explicitly allowed once)
(similar issues exists with protected folder access)
