New 9300 laptop Frost White

I've also been looking for this model. It's shown all over the site and in reviewers videos so clearly exists. And it's certainly the XPS 13 9300.I figure if I can't get one I'll have to go elsewhere, as I can't stand the rubbery black coating on the other models.

This is ridiculous, they advertise everywhere the new WHITE laptop but then you cant choose it. Almost 3 weeks ago they told me it would be available within 2 weeks. Well 3 weeks later it still isn't. I spoke to their support and this is what they told me:

I have the black one. It is very nice. The top and bottom are aluminum (a silver color).

The inside palm-rest is smooth black carbon fiber (no rubbery coatings here). 

Keyboard and TouchPad work good and feel nice.

It is only available with the top of the line model. It might not be available yet in UK. 

Oh great, but i dont get why they cant give us a date..

It might be supply chain issues. Distribution to multiple countries, plus issues with Chinese exports right now (source of components), and I've noticed that different regions have different configurations available.

The sweet spot for me would be the 16GB/512GB FHD model in white, as I don't see the need for a 4K screen so small and I don't use touch.

I suspect the mid-range models with the i7-1065G7 will be the most sought after (IMHO, most bang for the buck).

Thanks for the info. It was the texture rather than colour that I was most concerned about.

I might just hold out a little longer for the white one anyway -- looks like a great laptop regardless.

Exactly same problem in April 2021...still can’t seem to find the xps 13 in frost colour. The customer support agent said:

White systems are the most difficult to produce because they require multiple coats of paint.  That slows production.

At a time when manufacturers have waiting lists for new systems, the manufacturer probably informed Dell that it could have more systems in colors other than white, or fewer in white -- and Dell chose the former option rather than the latter.

I managed to get mine in December last year from Dell UK, I got the Dell XPS 13 9310. If you go to the following link you can find them in different colours: https://www.dell.com/en-uk/shop/laptops/sr/laptops/xps-laptops

They way i found them was going through 'home' and not 'business'.
