Assuming you have music production hardware now, I'll add that you may want to consult with the manufacturer of that hardware. They very often have specific recommendations for computer systems to be used with their hardware. And most often, those recommendations are for Apple PC rather than Windows PC hardware. But there are options for Windows based systems as well.

@Moondogger If your music production will include real-time audio capture, then one thing you will want to do specific look into with any laptops you're considering is "DPC Latency". You won't find it published in specs anywhere, but systems with high DPC latency can be problematic for real-time audio recording. You can end up with pops, dropouts, or other artifacts in the recorded audio. There are several components that can contribute to DPC latency, so there isn't a single fix for laptops where it exists.
But with that use case, you'll probably want a fast CPU, and depending on your photo editing software and how complex your editing will be, you might also want a discrete GPU to accelerate rendering of filters and other effects. And if you'll be using the built-in display for your work rather than an external display, then you'd want a display with good color gamut and accuracy as well. There are at least some laptops in all of Dell's lineups that would meet those criteria, but the Inspiron and XPS lines would probably be your best bet. I like Latitude systems because they're business-grade systems, which tend to be built a bit better than Inspirons, but they're also more expensive for a given performance level. The XPS systems are nicely built with aluminum and carbon fiber construction and a thin and light chassis, and they have things like Thunderbolt 3 ports that are relatively rare on other systems, but here again you pay for it. So if you'd rather get the best performance for your money and aren't as concerned about thin and light, a sleek design, or a more durable construction, then higher-end Inspiron systems might be the way to go.
In terms of 17" systems, that will definitely limit your options, although Dell does have an XPS 17 coming out soon that you might want to consider. I don't think pricing has been announced yet, though.
