How do I set up multiple monitors through my Thunderbolt dock?

I’m trying to hook up two monitors through my Dell dock. One of the monitors works fine. The second one consistently says it does not see a HDMI signal. How do I connect the monitors to each other indoor through the dock so that I can use both of them while using my laptop?

To be accurate with suggestion or advise, we need to know specific devices being used and which connections ports in your setup.
