Hmmm… can't reach this page or Something went wrong
Hello everyone,
I work in the IT department and have discovered this problem:
One of our users cannot reach two or three websites, even though the sites are reachable for other users at the same time. My analysis is that this problem is related to the Dell computer, not the Internet, because so far I have tried the following:
- Other users in the same office and on the same network can access the websites.
- Tested with and without VPN, in private mode, and with other browsers like Firefox, Chrome, etc.
- Tried in CMD:
ipconfig /flushdns
andDISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
. - Logged into Windows with a different profile (user), and I encountered the same error for other users on the same affected device.
- Reset the affected PC.
- Verified that the websites are not blocked by our firewall and proxy.
- Deleted cookies for the internet browser.
- Successfully accessed the websites from a cell phone, but not from the Dell device using a hotspot from the same cell phone.
The issue involves exactly 2 specific public websites and not all internet websites.
Now my question: Has anyone experienced something like this? Is the Dell laptop somehow blocking a website? Does anyone have any other suggestions to solve this problem?
