Battery capacity
I bought a new Dell XPS 9550 Battery because my previous battery expanded and bloated. Both the batteries (old and the new) are the same model and have the same capacity; 84Wh.
According to the Windows Battery report, the old battery had about 78,000kmWh capacity when it first booted and gradually decreased over the years.
But the new battery shows 57,720mWh in both its Design and Full Charge capacity (instead of showing somewhere close to 84,000Wh). The battery seems to be authentic, but this large difference in capacity would make it seem that something is wrong here.
Before I go back to the buyer and ask for a refund/exchange, I want to make absolutely sure that the battery is at fault here and not my laptop. So if I post pictures of the battery here, can I find the true capacity of the battery? Also, do you know of other methods I can test the battery's capacity to make sure it's not my laptop at fault?

That battery was made in 2015 so it's about the same age as the system - it's not new. If it was sold to you as a "new" battery - it isn't.

The code 57M is the date code -- 5 = 2015.
The part number KFHT8 corresponds to a battery for a Latitude E-series from about 10 years ago -- not an XPS battery.
Either this is a third party battery that's been made to look like it's OEM, or it's been rebuilt and retagged. Only your seller can confirm, but given the date code and the incorrect Dell part number, if you have return privileges, use them.

1. Unknown.
2. An OEM battery would have the same capacity as the original. Given all the warning signs surrounding this one, who knows what the seller has done with it -- it could have had the cells replaced, logic board reprogrammed? The only source of a definitive answer is your battery seller.
