XPS 8930, SA, CPU fan failed to respond correctly
XPS 8930 motherboard shows on SA (SupportAssist) prior to booting up that "the (CPU fan) failed to respond correctly" Error code 2000-0511 validation 84543. Then allow me to continue and then shows
>>Checking media presence......
>>Media present......
>>Strat PXE over IPv4, Press ESC key to abort PXE boot.
Then I hit ESC and Windows 10 Pro starts normally. After that the motherboard works correctly. I have run the SA troubleshooting and it does not detect any fan issues. I have replaced the fan without success. Sequence starts every time I start or restart the computer. I have pics but this will not allow them to be posted.

03VRGY should work However it wont if its bad or on the wrong header or was plugged into a non dell then plugged into the dell board. Non standard wiring of fans can also permanently damage the motherboard sensors rendering them useless forever.
Once you have done one or more of the bad things its dead Jim.

@Russ325 The CPU fan P/N 01D40R you posted is correct for the XPS 8930. Maybe you can return this one as "defective" and get another one with the same P/N from a different source...

These are the bios from my board, SupportAssist page and the defect page and the fan defect. I believe the changes you suggested are accomplished. Fan error persists....

Looks like you made the changes I suggested. Sorry that hasn't helped.
Is there a reason you have Legacy Option ROMs enabled in BIOS? Not that I think disabling it will solve the fan issue, but worth a try. And you could disable the boot options for IPv4 and IPv6 too so you won't get PXE errors again.
Not sure what else to say except possibly the new fan is DOA or you have a motherboard failure. You never said if PC is still under warranty, in which case you should contact Dell Tech Support.
EDIT: Two images didn't post so you should post them in again in a new post in this thread.

Hi you are not going to believe this but I plugged in a fan in the "top fan" Position and the fan failure went away I think it has subsequently been replaced with a Error code 2000-0716 valadation 78043 Alert! Power button cable failure. I probably didn,t tell you this but I am running the board outside the unit with no housing. Sorry if that has been messing you up..

@Russ325 Well, golly gee whiz...Why did you wait til now to provide that critical info?
All bets are off if you're running this outside the Dell case, and without the front panel connected...
Put it back inside the case, reconnect everything and it will likely run just fine and dandy...

If you install the motherboard in a new case, you're still likely to get front panel errors and possibly CPU fan too. Dell uses customized connections between front panels and motherboards that may not be easily accommodated by connections to the front panel in a different case.
You might search these forums to see if anyone has transplanted the XPS 8930 motherboard, and how they wired up the front panel.
I'd assume the changes you made should have disabled SupportAssist in BIOS, so something else must be triggering it. I guess you could uninstall SupportAssist from the HDD in Win 10, but I can't see that making any difference because the app shouldn't be loading until after Win 10 loads...

I will have to start looking for a XPS 8930 with a bad motherboard or sell this motherboard to someone that has a bad motherboard for their chassis..
Thank You for all your help with my issue..
