XPS 8930, problem with network card upload ratio
XPS 8930
After numerous tests, I identified that the network card provided me with a download speed of around 980 Mbps and an upload speed of 2 to 3 Mbps.
I used a USB <-> RJ45 connector and connected my network cable to it. Everything works fine.
My question is this: Can I install a new network card and if so what specifications do I need to meet.
Thank you

Yes. You can install a new network card.
I have installed this version in one of the PCI-e slots. It was plug and play

Before you do that, have you tried disabling all Killer network software and services? That throttles network speeds. See this thread.

Before you do anything with the hardware (or software), what type of Internet service do you have? If it's cable or ADSL, what you're seeing is likely perfectly normal -- fast download, slow upload.
Unless you have fiber internet, which is synchronous (same speed up/down), there is no issue.

@Hokie_Shankar Very interesting solution, there's enough room in this tiny tower?

@mrochette01 Yes!
My RTX 4060 takes two slots and the network card went into the 3rd slot (circled)

@ejn63 : I have had cable for a long time. My download speed is 1400 Mbps (used to be 940 Mbps) and upload speed is 40 Mbps. OP has 2Mbps upload speed and that does not seem normal.

Once you uninstall KIller services, follow these instructions to prevent future installation of Killer services with Windows updates. Even then, it is advisable to periodically check to ensure that these killer and rivet services are not running.

In my case, I had network speed reduction (download) even after disabling Killer services. It turned out that my Norton 360 was doing that. Once I uninstalled Norton, I got my 1400Mbps download speed back. I now use Microsoft defender (office 365 subscription) exclusively.
