XPS 8700 gpu upgrade problems

I had a dell xps 8700 with the following specs:

intel core i7 4990

nvidia GeForce gt 635

16gb ddr3

win 11 home

I Have tried putting an NVIDIA GeForce gtx 1660 in the computer but it gives 5 beeps on startup meaning cmos power failure and  replacing the battery doesn’t work

I saw one post on the dell support forum saying the computer requires a bios update and disabling secure boot but I personally think it needs a stronger psu

the psu is 460w and recommend psu for gtx 1660 is 450w

can I get input from people who know more in this area.
