XPS 420, motherboard in non-Dell case

no dell board fits a standard case because pinouts are not documented or simple.

420 motherboard is BTX thus can not be installed in standard ATX case, and it is difficult to find non Dell BTX case.

For Dell BTX case you can consider XPS 720/710/700.  In addition old Dell dimension E310 case is also BTX.  Front panel pinout needs to worked out in each case to turn on 420 board.

Although Optiplex 780,760,755,745 MT case are also BTX, they are possibly too small to fit 420 motherboard.

its nowhere near optiplex or other models there are many ribbon cables that merge into the front panel board and the power button goes into that board as well so i dont know why you are even referencing them.

There is even a card reader and mini lcd on top

i know this board is btx that why i was looking for Dell case and don’t want to convert  atx one..

But my need is to have a Dell case with the same pinout from power front buttons to the

board ... I already have a 9200 case but the power switch and cable don’t fit to the xps 420 mb ..

So my question is they have any Dell btx case with same pinout of xps 420 from the front switch to motherboards !
