Dell Dimension XPS

I have an old XPS M200s that is working well, however on startup a Device Name = HARMONY message appears 'supporting'  An Interface Board or CD. Although this doesn't stopIMG_20190604_184236.jpg Windows from starting, it is a bit annoying!

Do you by  chance have a Harmony remote control from Logitech?

And no one, except you, can see the image you posted until the moderators approve it.

Hi, no I believe I read somewhere 'Harmony' was the name used for 'Microsoft' CD-Roms! But that would be pre-Windows 95 probably ok

I guess if you don't use the CD drive, you could just disconnect its power cable inside the PC.

This is a 16 year old IDE system.

There are no working hard drives and the primary and secondary drives are set master and slave with other drives set cable select.

ALL Drives must be set to Cable select for Optical drive and hard drive.

This system is well past end of life end of support.
