P20 Password Reset Challenge Code

P20 Password Reset Challenge Code

I recently acquired two Wyse P20s to try out in a home lab environment. I have no idea what the administrator passwords on these are but I have read that in order to reset the password I need to get the challenge code from my device and then send it to Wyse tech support. I don't have a support contract with them and when I go to the self service portal to register it asks me to register under an existing company. I am not affiliated with any company. Where do I send the challenge code and will it be possible for me to reset these or am I dead in the water?

I'm the exact same position as this guy. He might have already received an answer but I'm just about to start a home lab. It seems like poor customer service for dell to acquire a company and then just drop support for anything that preceded their acquisition. But that's business I guess.

I would really like to know how to reset my WYSE's , right now they're not even paper weight worthy. After more than 2 years without a response this is really a hail Mary to see if I can get someone curious to help.

Cummy,

Support for the P20 was not dropped because of the Dell acquisition but it was normal procedure. The product reached its End of Life cycle and was replaced by the P25. It was also retired by Teradici. To get a response, you can contact tech support via phone at 1-800-945-3335 option 2
