Relocating the writechache folder away from the StreamingDir can have a negative impact on end user experience and hence this is not officially supported.
If you want to keep the writecache folders on your WSM Servers in sync, you can schedule an automated task to do this outside of WSM.

While not supported you can try using hard links to point the writecache directories to a single, shared foleder on a SAN or NAS. Please read the WSM 5 Sizing and Planning Guide "System Security Credentials" and "File Server and Shares" carefully! If username and password need to be presented to access the shared directory, some WSM Services need to run with the credentials of an user which has permissions to read, write and create files on this share (i.e. WSM Admin, Monitor and OS Streaming Services).

Make sure all the WSM Services run with he credentials of an user which has full permissions to the share. You will have to use the full UNC Path to he location of the StreamingDir, i.e. S:\ \StremingDir.
