ThinOS 9 - txt printer class
Hi,
just read through this forum because we have a problem in our environment according USB printers.
We used Thin OS 8 with Dell 5070 and Zebra printers. Connected the printer to our Citrix environment through TXT printer class - we need to do that because of the software we use.
Since ThinOS9, TXT printer class is not supported any more according to the admin guide. Downgrade for Dell OptiPlex 3000 not possible, 5070 out of stock. What do you do to solve this problem? And why is the "TXT" printer class still in the GUI of ThinOS9 when it´s not supported?

With the change from a a customer built Citrix received in thinos 8, to the standard Linux CWA under 9.x the printer support is limited to what is available from Citrix, which is PS only.
With the ThinOS 2203 release (3-31-2023) there is a new feature, "Common Printing Support".
To be completely fair, I have not tested, nor worked through any caveats with this new feature, so please begin your testing and let us know your experience.

Thanks - installed new ThinOS, new Citrix Workspace and the printing package --> same issue. When switching to ThinOS 8 everything works. Is there a documentation for this printing package?

Hi,
anyone here using LPT1 print with ThinOS9 and Citrix? Cant get it to work even with 2303 and Common Printing package.
