Problems after updating firmware t 8.3_011

Greetings all.

I'm currently trying to update a few Wyse 3010 Tx0 thinclients to the latest firmware.

Following the instructions from Dell/Wyse support on the phone I upgraded one unit from 8.1_027 to 8.1_031 then to 8.3_011 all using WMS 1.0.0.36801, the plan was to go from there to 8.3_014, 8.3_109, and finally 8.4_009

As soon as the update to 8.3_011 was complete I can no longer push commands or new firmware updates to the device. I get the following error on the Wyse terminal:

SSL: error ERR_SSL_UNKNOWN_CERTIFICATE_AUTHORITY

SSL: unable to setup connection. (err=7517)

I'm not certain what to do to get this device back into the WMS to continue updating firmware. I've tried adding an advanced option to that group with the line:

SecurityMode=No

But the device still refuses to check back into the WMS. Any ideas on how to proceed?

Ideally I want to be able to update these devices without having to ever physically touch them (there are hundreds, many in remote office locations that are not easy for us to deploy personnel to).

I was able to resolve th. Here are some notes for people in the future. Also, if anyone finds a different way of getting past this PLEASE post it here.

What I ended up doing was going to the server I had WMS installed on and exporting the certificate that was auto generated (self signed) by windows during installation (the one that is named the same as the hostname of that server). I then copied that exported .cer certificate file to a USB flash drive and imported it into the certificates on the Wyse terminal manually.

After that I could finally update to 8.3_014 -- and that version actually has a checkbox in the Central Config window that says "Enable CA Validation"....

SO BE WARNED if you are updating remote wyse thin clients to 8.3_011 you will need to find a method of getting your self signed cert onto the Wyse terminal OR have a real cert that going to work with the authorities already preinstalled on the Wyse terminal.
