How to configure Wyse 5070 Hybrid Clients with Wyse Management Suite 3.6
Hello-
We have always used Wyse 5070 clients with ThinLinux on them and configured those clients with Wyse Management Suite (1.4). We bought some new 5070 clients last year that came as Hybrid clients which run some flavor of Ubuntu apparently. I opened a case with dell back when they would not auto-configure and was told we had to update our Wyse Management Suite to 3.x to configure these. Today I upgraded from 1.4 all the way to 3.6. After doing so, I still don't see a way to add a policy for our existing group to auto configure these things. The only options for policies I have listed are:
ThinOs
ThinOS 9x
WES
Linux
ThinLinux
Wyse Software Thin Client
So my question is, what do I have to do to be able to build a simple default config for these hybrid clients so that they will auto configure based off of DNS/DHCP records that already exist like the rest of our 5070s? What am I missing?

Dell Hybrid client is a subscription-based operating system.
I would suggest you reach out to your Dell account team to discuss your use case and needs and fully understand your requirements.

That figures.... No we don't have any type of licensing installed in WMS as far as I can tell. It says:
License Type: Standard
Thin Client (Type/Exp): Production / N/A
In the License Subscription section and 10,000 management, 11 in use, and 9989 remaining under license usage. So I have been reading that there are ways to convert ThinLinux 5070 (what we have) and WES 5070s to Hybrid clients, I suppose there are no ways to convert hybrid to something else so we don't have to buy unnecessary licenses for our environment? We literally just send the basic stuff to these clients so that they connect to Horizon on boot, and then don't touch them again, I would hate to have to buy licenses to do something so simple.

Dell Hybrid client requires WMS pro, and a Dell Hybrid client license applied to WMS in order to apply DHC policies.
Have you applied DHC licenses to your WMS?
