WDM 4.8.5 Not Finding Devices

WDM 4.8.5 Not Finding Devices

I just installed WDM 4.8.5 on a VMWare ESX server to be used entirely for WDM. However, regardless of IP Range or Subnet, it cannot find any device. I have a Thin Client right in front of me that falls in the IP range I specified and it will not pull up. After checking the manual, it seems WDM uses the WDM agent on each device to communicate with it and can update the agent if needed. However, it seems this Thin Client, recently re-imaged with the OEM version of Windows Embedded Standard 2009, does not even have the WDM agent. Where can I find this software. Please advise. Thank you.

What kind of terminal are you using? And under the windows services (start > run > services.msc) you should have a hagent service running, can you check this?

I resolved the issue by calling Wyse Support as it was urgent. I set DHCP options so the Thin Clients knew where to look for WDM. Thanks!

Hello,

You need to follow the next steps:

DHPC Server- IPv4 - Set Predefined Options - Add:

Then you add the settings you want:
161 - rapport ftp server
186 - rapport Web Server

Latter expand IPv4 - Scope Options - Configure option, check and configure the settings you want to set.

Best regards.
