Device registration in WDM 5.0

Device registration in WDM 5.0

Hi All,

I've setup Wyse Device Manager 5.0 on Windows Server 2008 R2, it's the only thing running on the server as suggested in the documentation. I've added a new subnet for the local LAN, but haven't added in remote sites yet.

On the the DHCP servers, I've added an option #186, with string value of ip address of the WDM server.

In wlx.ini I have RapportServer= ip address of WDM server.

The devices are correctly picking up the config, but don't seem to be registering with WDM.

Currently out of 10 test Wyse T50 thin clients all from the local subnet - 3 are showing up in WDM Device manager.

I'm not sure if these have self registered, or showed up from a "find devices" scan I've done.

Port 80 and port 443 have been opened in the firewall - Are any other ports required?

Anything else I need to do?

Sorry I can't offer assistance but I was wondering if you ever got an answer to your question? Did you solve it?
