Windows 7 Upgrade Problems
Hi! I purchased an Inspiron 1545 on Nov. 20, 2009. It came with Windows Vista Home Premium.
I'm trying to use the Dell website to get an upgrade to Windows 7. However, I continually get the message that my service tag is not in the database and I may have to wait 10 days since purchase. I'm well beyond that period now.
I called support yesterday - now I have my service tag available if I want to request drivers, but I still can't get a Win 7 upgrade (same msg - service tag not in database).
How do I get a Windows 7 upgrade?
...Jerry

Jesse,
Thanks for your reply, but my email to win7upgrade@dell.com merely generated an automatic reply that directed me back to the Windows 7 upgrade URL
Similarly, the https://win7.dell.com/ContactLTG.aspx generated another automated reply that sent me back to the Windows 7 upgrade URL.
Is there a way I can get a live person to look at this?
...Jerry
